International educators and experts, namely Dr. Thomas Hoerr, author of the “The Formative Five”; Dr. William Spady, an expert on outcomes-based education; Prof. Rupert Maclean, the UNESCO Chair on TVET; Dr. Jennifer Bain and Dr. Juliet Sprake of Goldsmiths, University of London have confirmed to be plenary speakers at the 2017 Philippine Education Conference on November 28-29, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. They will also conduct workshops on how to implement their big ideas and improve student learning.

With the theme, “Achieving the Promise of K to 12,” the conference aims to engage educational leaders on Philippine education issues and concerns, particularly the implementation of the senior high school and preparations for delivering the new curricula for contemporary needs. It also provides an opportunity to understand how to translate educational trends and models of innovation that contribute to achieving the goals of the K to 12.

The conference will also feature speakers from government, leading schools, and educational organizations to discuss issues and concerns that will lead to insights, resolutions, and solutions for schools as they move forward with the biggest reform in Philippine education.
