Project Marawi of the Private Education Assistance Committee had a simple turnover ceremony of donations to 23 ESC and SHS VP private schools affected by the Marawi siege last June 20, 2018 at Lourdes College, Cagayan De Oro City. Through Project Marawi, textbooks, reference materials and photocopier machines that amounted to about Php13.5 million were donated to the schools.

The donations from the benefactors were turned over by Ms. Rhodora Angela F. Ferrer, PEAC Executive Director, together with Sr. Ma. Rufina B. Guillano, RVM, President of Lourdes College and PEAC Regional Program Director for Region 10, Sr. Felicitas Bernardo, SPC, Dean of College of Education of St. Paul University-Manila, and Dr. Myrna Fantonalgo, PEAC Regional Program Coordinator for Region 10.

The benefactors present during the event were the following: Diwa Learning Systems Inc. represented by Ms. Elma Ropeta, Managing Director; Ms. Gina Linstrom, Executive Director, Ms. Rhodora Acedillo, Vice President; Rex Bookstore Inc. represented by Mr. John Paul Siojo, KAS; Ms. Junalyn Cortez, CHR Labor head; Mr. Joseph Carranza, Marketing; Phoenix Publishing House represented by Mr. Jun Sicat, CS; and Mr. Patrick Carrosa, FMA.

Also part of the program was the presentation of Mr. Rodrick B. Malonzo, PEAC NS Monitoring and Processing Officer, on the GASTPE guidelines for the next school year, including the special provisions for the Marawi schools.
