The PEAC convened the private higher education institutions (PHEIs) participating in the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) program last April 6, 2021 via Zoom to give updates on the PEAC implementation of the TES program in SY 2019-2020. The free session was attended by designated school representatives.
Dr. Pio D. Baconga, President of the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities (ACSCU), led the opening prayer. Dr. Anthony Jose M. Tamayo, President of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU), gave the welcome remarks.
Ms. Rhodora Angela F. Ferrer, PEAC Executive Director, discussed the status of the engagement of the PEAC in the TES Program for SY 2020-2021. Ms. Denise M. Adriano, Communications and Research Officer, and Mr. Rodrick B. Malonzo, Monitoring and Processing Officer, presented updates on the orientation, processing of billing statements, and monitoring of schools in SY 2019-2020.
Dr. Lourdes Almeda-Sese, Chairperson of the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations of the Philippines (COCOPEA) and Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada, COCOPEA Managing Director, presented the COCOPEA statement on the present TES program implementation.
The meeting ended with a closing remarks by Sr. Marissa R. Viri RVM, President of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP).
