In preparation for the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification, the PEAC National Secretariat has attended a series of trainings on the implementation of a QMS that is aligned with ISO 9001:2015.
This was kicked off by a seminar on QMS Awareness which was attended by all employees of the National and Regional Secretariats last January 18, 2021. The ISO Working Committee attended an ISO Documentation Course Workshop last January 21, 2021. An Internal Auditor’s Course will be conducted on February 22-23, 2021. Mr. Arnold David has been engaged as consultant for the ISO campaign of the PEAC National Secretariat. Mr. David is a certified auditor/lead auditor for ISO 9001 and he has led a number of organizations in various industries, including schools and educational systems, in their ISO certifications.
The PEAC NS also participated in a seminar-workshop on program management conducted by Torch Training and Consulting via Zoom last January 7, 2021. The seminar-workshop focused on the fundamentals of planning, scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring, as well as the best practices and tools in the field. The workshop facilitator was Ms. Kristy Abello, a P&G Corporate Trainer for Project Management since 2012 and a certified project management expert.
The PEAC NS also had its two sessions of Professional and Personal Enhancement (PPEs) with the topics, “Bawas Basura”, “Sa’n ang Lakad?”, “Sino si Boss, Sino si Officemate, at Sino Ako?” and “Once Upon a Time” via Zoom last January 14 and February 11, 2021 given by Ms. Joanna Almodal from the Monitoring and Processing Unit (MPU), Mr. Butch Evarola from the Information Technology and Information Management Unit (ITIM) and Mr. Roel Almera and Ms. Camille Isleta from the Certification Unit (CU). The PPEs are 30-minute sessions delivered by members of the PEAC NS who are tapped to share interesting, relevant, and enriching topics in their areas of interest or expertise.
