The PEAC had its regular meeting last June 17, 2025 at the Seda Residences Makati which was presided over by Atty. Filemon Ray Javier, DepEd Undersecretary for Legal and Legislative Affairs, as representative of Education Secretary and PEAC Chairperson, Sonny M. Angara. The members of the PEAC present during the meeting were Betty C. McCann, PhD ACSCU President; Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, CEAP President; and Marco Alfredo M. Benitez, PACU President. NEDA Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan was represented by Usec. Melbourne D. Pana.
Also in attendance were Atty. Edson Byron K. Sy, Dir. Janine Nicole Chua, Dir. Vernice Lorraine D. Quintana, Louie C. Duterte, PhD and other DepEd officials. The PEAC Management Team led by Executive Director Rhodora Angela Fernandez Ferrer, PhD and the lawyers from Salvador Llanillo & Mijares (SLM) were also present.
The meeting was followed by a presentation by Don Brodeth of Taft Consulting Group on a commissioned study, “Strengthening Educational Service Contracting (ESC) through Targeted Support and Adjusted Grant Structures,” as part of the PEAC initiative to improve program implementation.
