Being a PEAC certifier is a great honor and privilege because in the process I learn and grow in my mission as an educator. Every year, the PEAC organizes a bootcamp, a training for certifiers, that helps me become more confident in the Certification process.

During my first two years as a certifier, I travelled to different parts of the country. The work was never easy. We had to travel very early in the morning to catch the school’s morning activity, return to our hotel late at night, and then spend additional hours to finish the reports.

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country, we encountered more challenges. When the PEAC introduced the Certification System, I needed to spend more time and energy reading and verifying the documents submitted by the schools online. My patience was tested when I had to wait for the schools to complete the submission of the required documents. During the virtual school visit, the poor internet connection was also a challenge.

Since I consider these challenges as God’s blessings, I did not feel tired during my deployment. I was happy to do my tasks as a certifier. I am grateful that I am part of PEAC’s mission to ensure that quality education is offered by the private schools and I must do my part in fulfilling this mission.
