In line with the first-year implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum of the Department of Education for Grades 7-10, the PEAC shall conduct the 2024 In-Service Training for Junior High School Teachers in private schools in May to August. The theme of the JHS INSET is Teaching Students to be Future Ready in a VUCAD World with 21st Century Skills and Mastery of MATATAG Learning Competencies.
The JHS INSET will equip teachers with the skills to produce for their schools examples of standards-based curriculum maps and learning plans that lead students to mastery of Grade 7 standards and learning competencies and innovative application of 21st century skills.
Likewise, the 2024 In-Service Training for Senior High School Teachers in private schools shall also commence in May and will run until September. With the theme, Teaching of SHS Core Subjects based on the Science of Students’ Learning, participants in this year’s SHS INSET will be trained on how to teach the Most Essential Topics in the Flexible Instruction Delivery Plan of the core subjects based on the science of students’ learning.
PEAC co-implements the JHS INSET and SHS INSET under the GASTPE program of the Department of Education. PEAC is also an accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider of the Professional Regulation Commission.
The registration fee is Php 2,700 per participant for the in-person runs and Php 700 per participant for the online runs. Registration starts on April 3, 2024 at 12:00 NN for the first venue.
